I have ADHD - C

But now that I'm an adult, it's mostly I.

Probably because I developed some Anxiety Disorders at the beginning  of High School- H only happens when I'm really comfortable. I don't have a social filter/ ability to spot social ques so I apparently offend a lot of people.

Fun thing is my dad has ADHD - I

so sometimes we clash.
He forgets things a lot. And sometimes that means he forgets about things that I'm really excited about/ are important to me, and I get mad. It's a vicious circle.

My mother has ADHD and is an adult. She's amazingly hyper but it's fun since shes not boring or lazy all the time. I mean of course not saying "OH YEAH ALL PPL WITH ADHD R BERTER!!!!11" That wouldn't be true.
It's like she can relate w me too.

I have it, and I *hate* having it, mainly for the H part of it, mostly. Mein sister is lucky in that regard. She just has ADD, and doesn't have to deal with the hyperactivity part of it!

I hate how they spend so much effort on child ADHD, when it's not really THAT necessary at that young, maybe if the student as Severe ADHD, but let the kids be themselves. Allow them the chance to grow up and then decide whether they need the medication or not. Spend time making sure the adults aren't struggling and need the medication more.

I've grown up with ADHD but only recently actually been diagnosed and I'm glad I wasn't pressured into medication at a young age, I like that I made the decision myself and I can choose what days I need to take it and what days I would like to go without it :P

I'm an adult with ADHD. I have a very severe case and must go to three different doctors to manage it. It is important to remember that adults can have this condition, too.

I have ADHD and I like it and I only get distracted by shiny objects because I think they're pennies and then I figure out the are gum wrappers and I think awwww I really wanted a penny oh well. See huh now how would I illustrate ADHD for all of you who do not have it? Well I simplify it as manic deppressive disorder with none of the deppresion and an actual need to sleep of course there have been a few nights where I could not sleep but they were rare.

It's very saddening in my point that many people have this "Condition" including myself, I don't even know WHERE in my family it has PDD and ADHD... My younger brother has PDD, and I have ADHD, and my half brother has minor speech delay... Speech delay comes from my mom's side from my grandfather.... I need to ask my parents more about this crap...

I have ADHD.
I had gtten it from my dad's side of the family,as did my brother.

It's not fun at all. If I miss one day of my adderall, I get in trouble because I get all hyper and rude.
I hope I can learn to grow up a not need the medicein to help me calm down, like my dad.

I just wish people would stop treating me as if I use my ADHD as an excuse.

I used to take Ritalin as a child, and if I missed a day I'd have withdrawl- usually a nosebleed or vomiting.

Also, you had to eat if you took your pill- or you'd pass out.

Wow my comment was in 2011, I just noticed x'D

Well I'm 18 now, and I've been keeping tract of my symptoms.
My bigger affect from Adderall is my affected appetite. I don't
have any withdrawal, my ADD/ADHD (can't recall for sure
which I was told I have) is just noticable. I'm loud, irritable,
I eat A LOT, I loaf around, I forget a lot. But nothing serious.

I keep up with my medication though. I try to eat to keep
from falling underweight. I'm 5'02" and I'm at a steady weight
range between 97 and 98 pounds.

I don't ever hear good things about Ritalin though. I think my
bf was put on it but he didn't like how it made him feel and he
stopped taking it when he was young.
